 The Annual Pheasant Hunt on Pelee Island has been a tradition for more than 60 years. It is organized by the Township of Pelee and takes place on Thursdays and Fridays during the last two weeks in October and the first week in November. Originally organized to mitigate the destruction of farm crops and residential gardens, the current hunt is made possible by the more than 20,000 birds raised by the Pheasant Farm. Suitable habitat is maintained by the Township of Pelee, the Pelee Sportsman's Club and area farming harvest practices. Call 1-800-661-2220 or 519-326-2154.
