About The Ferry
General Information
 
Tickets must be purchased before boarding the vessel.
 
Check-in: Persons holding reservations must check-in at vehicle ticket booth at least ONE HOUR prior to sailing time, or space will not be held.
 
Cancellations: Reservations must be cancelled at least 120 hours (5 Days) prior to sailing time or full vehicle fare will be charged. Cancellations can be made at either ferry terminal or
by calling 1-800-661-2220.
 
Passengers bound for the United States: proper identification is mandatory including birthdates for all individuals travelling and valid passports or passage may be refused.
 
Random Screening: Baggage and vehicles may be subject to random screening as per security
regulations.
 
All Vehicles and Freight must be at dock at least ONE HOUR prior to sailing.
 
Passage may be limited or restricted by size and/or type of vehicle.
 
Security: Vehicles are loaded and unloaded at owner’s risk.
 
Debit: Debit is not available aboard the ship.
 
Consumption of Alcohol: Unless purchased onboard, alcohol is strictly prohibited as per LLBO regulations.
 
Pets: Pets are allowed in the vehicle and in designated areas of the outside deck of the ship and must be accompanied by owner. Please ask a crew member for direction.
 
Crossing Times
 
Leamington and Kingsville to Pelee Island approximately: 1 hour and 30 mins
Sandusky, Ohio to Pelee Island: 1 hour and 45 mins
 
Accessibility Services
 
Information for Persons with Disabilities
 
Elevator Service: Available on the MV Jiimaan. Not available on the MV Pelee Islander.
Please advise ticket agent upon arrival if required.
 
Wheelchairs: Manual wheelchairs available for persons with disabilities at all terminals and vessels. Please ask staff for assistance.
 
Washrooms:  Barrier-free washrooms available at Kingsville and Leamington terminals and aboard the MV Jiimaan.  An accessible washroom is available on the MV Pelee Islander. The upper deck is not accessible on the Islander.

Management reserves the right to alter schedule, departure and destination points and fares at any time without notice.
 
The Vessel owner/operator assumes no responsibility for contents of any vehicle or for the security of or damage caused to or by vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles for any reason while aboard the ship.
 
Safety Regulations
 
Warning: Customers must declare additional fuel containers upon arrival at the dock. Transport Canada safety regulations prohibit the carriage of gasoline and propane in excess of the following quantities:
 
Recreational Vehicles: Not more than two cylinders of propane safely secured to the vehicle in an upright position with valves closed and tagged.
 
Vehicles with a built-in propane tank: The tank must be (OEM) original equipment
manufactured and engineered for the vehicle.
 
Automobiles: Not more than one 25 litre container of gasoline.
 
Motorboats: Not more than two portable 25 litre containers.
 
All persons must vacate the vehicle deck during crossing.
 
Owen Sound Transporation Company provides a smoke free
environment throughout its terminals and on the ship.
